Financial Aid Resources
There are many financial aid resources available to help students who qualify for financial aid to meet the costs of their education. Every year many students and their families take advantage of one or more of the resources you will find on these web pages.
Most financial aid is based on individual economic circumstances. At The Art Institutes, we know the importance of funding your education, so these web pages offer a variety of ways to start the process. And remember, it is never too early to start the financial aid process. It is important to note that the information on the following web pages is subject to change at any time.
Federal financial aid is your first option for a student loan. Types of Federal financial aid include the following:
- Federal Grant Programs
- Federal Loan Programs
- Federal Work-Study Programs
- Some State Student Assistance Programs
Please note that state financial aid varies, based on the state of residence of the student and where the school is located. For more information about state financial aid, please visit the financial aid section of The Art Institute location you are interested in attending. (Not all states are offering financial aid to all Art Institute locations at this time.)
While it is not critical that you have applied to and been accepted by The Art Institutes location of your choice, it is important for you to know which Art Institutes location you are planning to attend. That’s because to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms, you will need to know the FAFSA code for The Art Institutes location you are interested in. If you have not selected an Art Institute location yet, please feel free to explore our locations to discover which school is right for you. Each Art Institutes location has a unique FAFSA code or codes, and this code(s) will need to appear on your FAFSA Application. To view the code, select your location from the dropdown below.
Note: If you see two FAFSA codes assigned to your chosen location, please list both of these codes on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The first code, assigned to your chosen school (the first number), should be inserted in the 1st College space on the form. The second code, which indicates your chosen school’s proposed main campus (the second number), should be inserted in the 2nd College space on the form. Including both codes on your form will minimize interruption in the financial aid you may be eligible to receive for your education.
